LinkedIn Easy Apply Limit: What Is Confirmed and What Is Rumor
By Mbason AI Team
The short answer
LinkedIn confirms it puts daily and speed limits on Easy Apply submissions, but it does not publish the number. Third-party estimates range from about 20 to 100 applications a day, mostly from companies that sell auto-apply tools, and none are verified. LinkedIn says the daily limit resets at the end of the day in UTC, and applying in a rapid burst can trigger a separate temporary pause.
You are halfway through a list of roles, you click Easy Apply, and LinkedIn tells you that you've reached today's Easy Apply limit. If you have been sending dozens of applications a day, especially after a layoff, it can feel like being punished for trying hard. Here is what LinkedIn has actually confirmed, what is only rumor, and how to spend a capped day well.
How many Easy Apply applications can you send per day?
Nobody outside LinkedIn knows the exact number, because LinkedIn does not publish it. Its help center says it has introduced daily and speed limits on Easy Apply submissions to encourage thoughtful, genuine applications and to curb automation and bots, but it gives no figure.
The numbers you see online come from third parties, and most of them sell auto-apply tools:
- LoopCV: about 50 per 24 hours.
- FastApply: about 30 before a first cooldown, about 50 before visible throttling, and 20 to 25 for accounts under six months old, which it describes as observed, with no published method.
- AutoApplyMax: about 100 per day.
That is a spread of roughly 20 to 100, and LinkedIn confirms none of it. LinkedIn also says it may lower your limit if your activity looks inauthentic, so your number may not match anyone else's. Treat any single figure as a guess.
When does the Easy Apply limit reset?
LinkedIn's Easy Apply limits help article says the daily limit resets at the end of the day in UTC. Several vendor posts describe a rolling 24-hour window instead, but they cite no LinkedIn source, so we would go with LinkedIn's own wording. For readers in the US, the end of the UTC day falls in the late afternoon or evening, depending on your time zone.
There is also a separate speed limit. Send many applications in a short burst and Easy Apply pauses temporarily, even if you are nowhere near the daily ceiling. A pause after rapid clicking is not the same thing as hitting the daily limit, and some posts blur the two.
Is there a weekly LinkedIn application limit?
Possibly, but it is unconfirmed. One blog reported in May 2026 that LinkedIn help described a cap on applications over a rolling seven-day period, yet the help page it cited returned an error when checked, and LoopCV says there is no separate weekly cap. Do not confuse this with LinkedIn's weekly connection-invite limits, which show up in the same searches but cover networking requests, not job applications.
What should you do after you hit the limit?
Treat it as a sign that your search is spread too thin. LinkedIn's own advice to members who hit the limit is to target better-fit roles, use Job Match insights, and tailor your resume and profile to each role. A practical routine:
- Save the jobs you could not apply to and come back after the reset.
- Apply through the company's own careers page for the roles you care about most.
- Look at listings that are not Easy Apply, and at other job boards.
- Spend the cooldown tailoring your strongest applications instead of adding more weak ones.
This is the problem we built mbason around. You can search our job board for free, and once your CV is saved every job shows a match score, so you can skip roles you are unlikely to land. Free accounts also get one full Match My CV run and one detailed job match showing the gaps for a specific role, their first tailored CV preview and cover letter, and 3 applications through mbason. Gold ($14.99 a month) adds full gap analysis on any job, tailored CVs you can download, cover letters for every application, and applying without the Free limits. If you want the thinking behind it, here is what we are building.
Who it is not for
If your goal is to send 200 applications a day, we are not the right tool, and we would gently push back on the goal. LinkedIn added these limits to curb exactly the kind of mass automation that bypass tools sell, and its User Agreement (section 8.2) bans bots and unauthorized automated methods. Employers are already buried: LinkedIn reported about 11,000 applications a minute in mid-2025, up 45% in a year, according to eWeek citing The New York Times. Volume alone is unlikely to stand out in that pile.
We are also overkill if you only have one or two applications to send. LinkedIn on its own is fine for that.
Does LinkedIn Premium raise the Easy Apply limit?
No LinkedIn source says Premium changes the Easy Apply limit, and LinkedIn's Easy Apply limits help article does not mention Premium at all. Premium members on Blind reported getting the same daily limit notice in July 2025. One auto-apply vendor lists a Premium subscription among several signals that may let established accounts apply a little more, but that is unverified.
Can hitting the Easy Apply limit get my LinkedIn account restricted?
Reaching the daily Easy Apply limit by applying manually is not reported to carry a penalty; LinkedIn says you wait for the reset. The real risk is automation. LinkedIn's User Agreement bans bots and unauthorized automated methods, and LinkedIn may lower your limit if activity looks inauthentic. One auto-apply vendor lists unexpected captchas and a greyed-out Easy Apply button as warning signs.
Why is the Easy Apply button missing on a LinkedIn job?
If Easy Apply is missing on one listing, the employer may use an external application, or a non-promoted job may have reached its applicant cap. LinkedIn says free job posts have an application limit that typically ranges from 10 to 30, after which they are paused unless promoted. If Easy Apply is unavailable on every listing, you have more likely hit your daily or speed limit.
Can I increase my LinkedIn Easy Apply limit?
LinkedIn says that if your limit was lowered because your activity was mistakenly flagged as inauthentic, verifying your account can raise it again. Beyond that, LinkedIn offers no official way to increase the Easy Apply limit, and no LinkedIn source says paying for Premium does. The safer move is to apply to fewer, better-matched roles.
