Resume wording
Self-described motivation is the weakest possible evidence, because it is free to claim and impossible to check. It also usually appears in a summary line that a recruiter skips to reach the bullets.
These are not interchangeable. Picking the wrong one is how a bullet ends up claiming something you did not do, so the second column matters more than the first.
Before
Motivated self-starter with a passion for analytics.
After
Built the weekly revenue dashboard nobody had asked for; it became the standing input to the Monday leadership meeting.
The verb is the smaller half of that change. What actually makes the second version work is the number, and no synonym can supply one for you.
Keep it when describing motivating OTHERS, which is a real management claim: "Motivated a team of 9 through a difficult migration".
Rewriting one bullet is easy. Rewriting forty against a specific job posting is the part people give up on. Tailor CV rewrites your resume against the posting you are actually applying to, and you edit what it gives back.
